Description
These beautiful Japanese earrings were hand cut from a very rare coin that was minted in Japan from 1922 – 1938. The design that was used on the coin was of the Koyo Bird. In the Japanese culture the Koyo bird is the symbol of eternal life. This has always been one of my favorite pieces we do and I have offered it for over 45 years as a pendant. The earrings are just now being offered and came out just beautiful. They measure 5/8″ in diameter so are a nice touch and not too big. After all the hand cutting is done we plate them in our 14 karat gold and rhodium finish to highlight certain areas of the design. They are mounted on 14 karat gold filled ear wires of very high quality.
