These beautiful Tropical Bird earrings were hand cut out from a coin that was minted in the country of Belize from 1974 – 1985. The design is of a tropical bird perched in a tree. The bird used on this coin is called the Blue Crowned Mot Mot. I have offered this design for many years as a pendant and am just now offering them as a pair of earrings. They are a great size for earrings measuring 3/4″ in diameter and are also very lightweight so very comfortable to wear. After all the hand cutting is done we plate the earrings in our 14 karat gold and rhodium finish to bring out the best of the design. The earrings are mounted on high quality 14 karat gold filled ear wires.
