This beautiful bird pendant was hand cut from a 25 cents coin that was minted on the islands of the British Virgin Islands. The birds that were featured on this coin are called Mangrove Cuckoos and are a species in the Caribbean. I have offered this coin for over 40 years and its always been a popular item for the bird lovers. The coin measures right around 1 ” in diameter so works well as a pendant. The pendant is plated in our 14 karat gold and rhodium finish to enhance certain areas of the design. The pendant comes complete with a 14 karat gold plated rope chain that we offer in four different lengths.
