These British lion earrings were hand cut from a British one shilling coin that was minted from 1902 – 1926. The design is of a lion standing on the crown of Great Britain. I have offered this design as a pendant for over 35 years and am just starting to also do them as earrings. They are a great size for earrings measuring 1″ in diameter and are very light so comfortable to wear. The detail on the lion as well as the crown is striking which makes for a great looking pair of earrings. After all our hand cutting is done we plate the earrings in 14 karat gold and rhodium to bring out the best of the designs features. They are mounted on high quality 14 karat gold filled ear wires.
